It's hard to believe that it's been a month since I first started this project. Back then, all I had was an idea, but now, we have a fully working prototype. It's lacking in content, but it has all the basic functionality I need to make a good visual novel.

It took me way too long just to make a placeholder character. |
We had another productive meeting this week, despite R sitting this one out. Me and Z went out and discussed the project over lunch. He was able to implement my modifications beautifully. Our research phase is about to end. We've integrated images, sound effects, and music. We did a lot testing right on the spot when it came to image transitions. For next week, I have Z researching some more features that we can add, but it's mostly for window dressing. We're feature-complete.
We have a solid grasp on our capabilities, and it's a matter of content production now. A lot of this falls on me, and considering how spread out I am on various projects, this will probably take awhile. It doesn't help when Z is taking a week-long vacation to the Bahamas. I suppose it's a good thing. It'll give me and R more time to knock the story out of the park. I also need the extra time to create art assets. The next few weeks are pretty exciting. It's about time I get serious about the story.
