I spent most of this morning reading impressions of Project Morpheus. It seems to compare favorably to the Oculus Rift's 2nd revision model. Since both VR solutions won't be coming out until next year, it's all about iteration and experimentation. I wish I can sleep into the future right now. Can you imagine the possibilities?
It wasn't until late in the afternoon that my friend called me. My friend E from San Diego was visiting. R picked me up and we drove to a chicken bowl place called Tikiyaki. E and Z were already waiting for us. I got a small bowl and it was satisfactory.
We went to my house afterwards and E tried to demonstrate the amazingness of Resident Evil 4 to Z on my PS3. Then I played Outlast and jumped a couple times even though I was surrounded by friends talking loudly about Diablo 3. Then I had to spend quite a lot of time in the bathroom. I heard my friends laughing at R's plans to sell off his PS4. He missed the window for selling it by three months. He was now selling for a loss. The woman he agreed to meet with tomorrow was named Brandy. We all joked he had a date lined up.
We went to the Dragonfly, a boba drink cafe. There was a sign hanging above the counter that said "Pick Cups" and I joked that it said "Dick Cups." Many laughs were had. The place filled up unexpecteadly. There were lines as we walked out. Seemed like we swooped in right on time.
We went to Z's place and talked while he played Dark Souls on the PC. It looks good but somewhat flat. I'm kind of interested in the game now. My friend J finally got off work at 11:30 and we hit up Norm's for a late night dinner. I had breakfast, toast, eggs, and sausage links. I couldn't finish it all. Total was $10. Kind of pricey.
By the time I got home, it was too late to work out. Seems like I have to skip out today. Spending time with friends is never a waste, even if it means skipping parts of my routine.
