I spent the night doing my budget. I haven't touched it since June, so I had to sift through five months of purchases and transactions. I knew it wasn't going to an easy task, but I didn't expect it to take so long. Accuracy is more important than being quick anyways. I took my time, stayed patient, and got it done. I found no discrepancies.
Once my records were in order, I looked towards the future. Assuming a flat income rate and no unexpected expenses, I've got a solid road map to the future. The fact that I have no debt is encouraging and gives me a lot of leeway. The damage wasn't too bad. Things could be better, but that's why I got a job. The road to recovery starts now.
