Event Log: 7/24/14 - Renewed Vengeance

I finally received a rejection from my interview last week. I'm sick of that patronizing text where it says despite your strong qualifications, it just ain't enough. Why not tell me directly why I didn't get the job? That's the problem with rejection. It's not feedback. It doesn't tell you what you need to improve. It simply states, "No." All this means is that I have to up my game significantly. I will have to invest significant time and effort into developing advanced strategies. Despite failing the last interview, the experience was valuable. I got a taste of what it was like to try hard again. I haven't tried hard in a long time.

Since it was too hot to do anything like play games, I decided to post a story that's been sitting in my drawer. It feels good to get writing again.

Then I watched The Dead Zone movie starring Christopher Walken. He's a little too offbeat to be playing a plain-named character like John Smith.

After the movie, I decided to jump into the TV series. I watched it a lot as a kid, but episodes tend to blur into commercials. Ironically, watching on TV isn't the best way to watch TV shows these days. It's all about marathons. TV has changed. And we all have Netflix to thank for it.
