It was a strange night. I woke up much earlier than I was used to. It was a conscious thing. I needed to call someone early. My strategy paid off, and I finally managed to get a hold of that someone who contacted me about a position. I only called to see what was up but it turned into an impromptu interview. Since I wasn't prepared for it, I blustered my way through. It didn't leave me feeling confident about my chances. She said she'd let me know next week.
Later in the day, I got a reply for another job application. I've secured an interview for next week. When a door closes, a window certainly opens. Now, it's just a matter of improving my sneaking through the window skills.
My online friends were peculiarly chatty today. It was getting annoying since I have an app that reads my Email out loud when I receive them. I was trying to watch The Grand Budapest Hotel and I had to pause every so often because they kept emailing me. Speaking of the movie, it was very good with a distinct style that borders on cartoony. It's refreshingly quirky and Ralph Fiennes totally kills it. The narrative framing is also Inception-esque. I highly recommend it.
On the fanfiction side, I renamed Sora's Epic Journey Through Fanfiction into Sora's Epic Journey. I felt the original title was tacky. I even changed the cover photo to reflect the title change. It wasn't hard. I already had the photoshop file on hand. It was a simple editing job. Although I formally closed the story, I wrote a followup just in case. Next time, I'll be dabbling in fantasy-adventure.
I finished Is the Order a Rabbit? and watched a few more episodes of Love Live. I think I've successfully weaned myself off horror using moe. It feels good to be free from ghost, monsters, and all manner of monstrous concoction!
